I usually don't leave reviews, but I have to on this product. Been looking for a good sound leak detector for HVAC industry and this tool work amazing. Finding the tiniest leak when it is a pressurized system or even when pulling a vacuum on a anything. Worth the $$$$ especially with the visual camera to pinpoint the leaks. Only thing I wish was the product came with a case so I can keep it from getting damage.
This acoustic imaging camera works very well. I have used it to find all the air leaks in a rather complex compressed air system with 3 compressors and distribution network.... I have found almost every leak, no matter how small. I have used it on car engines to locate idlers that are just starting to make noise that I cannot hear yet. I have tested it with refrigeration equipment and have been able to find extremely small leaks. If you do much trouble shooting, this machine has great value.
I’ve been wanting a thermal camera for as long as I can remember, and I finally have one. The first thing I checked was the insulation in our attic because our place never seems to stay cool during the summer. As I suspected, the thermal imaging showed areas that appear to have little to no insulation, which gives me something useful to bring up with the property owner.
To start with, I believe this thermal imager might just be the new lowest barrier of entry to the 384x288 IR resolution. My previous thermal imager could "only" do 256x192, and 384x288 is double the amount of total pixels. And while the price may seem high, there's a LOT that one gets for that, not just the high IR resolution

This is a really cool little thermal camera, and once everything is connected and working properly, the image quality and amount of information you can get from something this small is impressive. I've found plenty of uses for it around the house, automotive work, electronics, HVAC, and just looking at things because thermal imaging is interesting.
I have not seen a camera with Manual Focus at this price point. Let alone the great features this has like 384x288 IR Resolution and Removable Battery.
I’ve now tested all of the major functions of this acoustic camera, and it works as advertised. The 64 microphones are extremely sensitive and can detect frequencies well outside of what I can hear, which makes experimenting with it almost as interesting as actually using it for troubleshooting. I tested it in several different situations. I pointed it at a noisy fan, checked power adapters that were producing high frequency noise, and even took it into the backyard at night where we have hundreds of crickets. With the crickets, I could actually see clusters of sound coming from behind a flower pot along with dB readings appearing from different areas throughout the yard. It is pretty impressive seeing sound sources visually mapped on the screen

So I was pretty excited to give it a try.
My unit arrived ready to go with a charged battery. The rubberized body feels tough and balanced, much like my higher-end FLIR unit, and the overall shape sits comfortably in my hand. Included was an adapter kit for charging the device using any power source from around the world.

It's much, much closer to the range I would find acceptable for spending on something like this. This a well-made, excellent thermal camera that does a lot!
